How often do we recognise that our faith should help us navigate uncertain times, such as the current pandemic, yet we still find it challenging and can even be fear-filled, rather than faith-filled?

Today I start a short series on the 3 truths that we need to hold on to, these help us cultivate a mindset that will allow us to thrive, not simply survive uncertainty so we can continue to walk forward in purpose!

I've been recovering from COVID -19 and reflecting on how stress impacts our immune system and our health.  For many finding their purpose can be stressful.  I realised that finding purpose is often a struggle, rather than an exciting voyage of discovery, because we hold fast to certain myths.  So in todays episode I debunk 3 Purpose myths:

1. Discovering my purpose will lead to one clear direction, vocation or career!

2. Discovering my purpose will lead to a life of ease!

3. Discovering my purpose will make me a celebrity and so will automatically glorify God!

Today we talk about how we navigate well in a job that may not be where we want to be as we don't believe it aligns with our purpose, and so does that mean it's just "tent-making" and what does that mean in reality.

 

At the end of the podcast, I share 2 ways we can navigate a season  in a job where we feel misaligned or we're looking to transition.

As we move on to talking about Purpose I share 3 different Purposes that we are created for and how the starting point is our relationship with God.  We explore what the impact is, i.e. what the world should see when we step out and step up into our purpose!

As we wrap up our conversation on identity I wanted to touch on 3 foundational keys that relate to our identity in Christ.  When we fully understand and embrace these keys they are powerful truths that unlock the door to our new identity!

Today we continue with our discussion on Identity.  We couldn't conclude this subject without taking a look at Sex and Sexuality.  I take a frank look at the issue of Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation which is an issue that the Church often shy's away from but needs to address as an Identity issue.  

Today's podcast focuses on identity - what it is and why it's important.  We also discuss Racism as an identity issue and conclude with steps you can take to strengthen your identity and lean into your authentic self.

In Episode 1 we jump straight in.  I tell you a bit about myself and we explore what Identity, Purpose and Destiny mean and why their worth talking about in the first place!
